About the Event

Knock Knock… Who’s there?

It’s your neighbourhood calling you outside. This event is part of an uplifting campaign designed to encourage families, friends, and neighbours to unplug and reconnect through play. From swings and slides to shared laughter and heartfelt moments, it’s an afternoon meant to remind us all of the simple joy of community.

We’re transforming Confederation Park into a vibrant hub filled with great food, wonderful people, and plenty of smiles.

Program and Highlights

Community Starts to Gather
Doors open at 12:30 p.m. Join us for a warm welcome with delicious catered food and refreshments. Connect with fellow guests and ease into the afternoon in good company.

Welcome Remarks: Rick Filipovic, Elevated Abilities
Join Rick, the Host and Master of Ceremonies, as he warmly welcomes the guests, sets the tone for the event, and introduces what is ahead in our celebration.

Land Acknowledgement: Chantal Chagnon
Chantal Chagnon offers a heartfelt land acknowledgement to open the event, honouring the traditional territories and sharing words that connect us to the land and its history.
